  Geographical Information of Nepal
Nepal is a landlocked country which lies in the South Asia. It is surrounded by China in the North and India in the East, West and South. Nepal is divided in 5 Development Region, 14 Zones and 75 Districts.
Nepal occurs 0.3% area in Asia & 0.03% area in Earth. The Area of Nepal is 1,47,181 Sq Km. 15% (22077 sq km) land of Nepal is covered by Himalayas and Mountain region. 68% (1,00,083 sq km) land of Nepal is covered by Hilly region and the remaining 17% (25,020) is covered by Terai Region.
Located between two Asian giants, China and India, Nepal traditionally has been characterized as 'a yam caught between two rocks'. The country is famous for the majestic Himalayas and astonishing geographic beauty that includes pristine forests, crystal clear lakes, towering peaks and ancient valley cities.
